November 4, 2009 - DMC Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital’s WomenForce Hosts a Bra Trunk Show and Evening of “Girl Talk”
Women of all ages are invited to "get down to basics" with a bra trunk show and bra fittings by the professional staff of Bra World/LuLu’s Lingerie on Wednesday, December 2 at the West Bloomfield Jewish Community Center’s Janice Charach Gallery. The event will help fund breast screenings for women who are uninsured or underinsured. Guests will be able to view the gallery’s special exhibits, purchase bras and enjoy hors d’oeuvres and wine from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Bra World/LuLu’s Lingerie of Troy will provide the trunk show and fittings. The Charach Gallery currently features an exhibit entitled The Bra Show, which features bras that have been transformed into artwork by such designers as Joe Faris of Project Runway, fashion critic Steven "Cojo" Cojocaru and actress Justine Bateman.
Tickets begin at $25 with a portion of the proceeds designated to help provide breast screenings for uninsured and underinsured women at risk for cancer. The ticket price will also be applied to the WomenForce’s annual membership dues and members’ teenage daughters are invited to participate at no charge. The Janice Charach Gallery is located at 6600 W. Maple in West Bloomfield.
