The DMC Orthopaedic Surgery Sports Medicine Fellowship Program offers an extremely comprehensive package of benefits including:

• Four Rotations of three-months each with exceptional, board certified, fellowship trained sports medicine orthopaedic surgeons.

• Technical aspects of surgical intervention are developed in the departmental bio-skills laboratory and operating room under direct supervision of the faculty.

• Fellows participate in the development of the appropriate prescription of the rehabilitation program, the conduct of the rehabilitation and the assessment of the therapeutic value of the program.

• Fellows have direct contact with professional athletic teams including the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Pistons under the direction of a faculty member.

• Fellows attend Spring Training in Lakeland, Florida to help faculty members perform preseason physicals.

• Fellows have their own once a week half day clinic for 6 months with weekly alternating operating room and clinic time, supervised by an attending.

• Dedicated weekly and monthly conferences.

• Arthroscopy course.

• Monthly Sports Medicine Journal Club.

• Attend local Annual Sports Medicine Symposium and annual AOSSM Meeting.
